For the compartments optoelectronic, mechatronic, electronic, technical
informatics and aspherical optics a new campus will be build in short dis-
tance to the existing buildings of the university.

The central element of the design is a broad axis (corso) runnig adjacent
to the faculty-buildings, housing one faculty each. A glass hall is covering
the corso in the area of the institutes. With gallerys and staircases these
institutes are woven together, so that a new platform for scientific ex-
change is constituted.
